Description
Villa Passo degli Aironi is handsomely located to capture the panoramic views of the famous Vendicari Nature Reserve in the province Noto on the southern east coast.
This extremely comfortable and spacious villa offers enough space for each one in the party to find their own tranquil spot.
The 6 bedrooms are dislocated between the Main House's two floors and the Pool House. The three rooms on the lower floor of the main house are conceived like proper suites, each with their own living room as well as a private outdoor space. The outdoor spaces include a large swimming pool and a large roof terrace with relaxation corner, dining area and barbecue.
The sister Villa Majoli is only a short walk away - the two villas are perfect for a larger group to spread out in.
MAIN HOUSE. Ground floor: from the impressive and colorful entrance hall is the main staircase that leads to the roof terrace, or to the en-suite bedrooms below. On one side is a spacious and homely living and on the other, a modern and light dining area with its well-equipped open-style kitchen. Adjacent are two large en-suite bedrooms (one double and one twin with joinable beds) with uninterrupted sea views from the private terrace. The elegant detailing that runs throughout the villa creates a sense of grandeur which is well-matched to the liveliness of the interiors. All these rooms give on to the long belvedere terrace overlooking the vineyards.
On the lower level: as you move downstairs to follow the large corridors lined with an exuberant display of artworks, you will find three comfortable double suites displaying a delicate blend of considered Italian finishes and the highest quality fixtures and fittings. These suites give onto the arcaded patio with the exclusive view of the sunken garden. All have a private dressing room and a bathroom with shower.
On the roof terrace: the open-air kitchen and dining provides an exceptional vantage point for views of the bucolic landscape spread before it while dining. This gem is ideal for sitting around the large table taking your meals with freshly barbecued fish. As far as outdoor kitchens go, this one is great for amateur grill chefs to host heavenly lunches at the sturdy country table. The outdoor lounge with comfy sofas is just right for pre-lunch drinks or for a light siesta afterwards.
The Pool House: a separate building near the pool area is totally self-contained. It includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, lounge with an extra bed if needed, a double bedroom and bathroom. Outdoor it has a terrace on the ground floor and a beautiful rooftop terrace.
Park
From the main gate an alleyway flanked with olive trees lead to the main entrance of this newly built residence. Here, landscape architect Ivan Gallo, has created a distinctive atmosphere conveying a true sense of the place reflecting the culture, customs and the poetry of the area. It’s all about rhythm and connections creating natural movements around the villa in total osmosis with the lingering views beyond. The plants chosen for their suitability to the Mediterranean climate, are totally dazzling. The roof-terrace with its splendid outdoor kitchen & living area and a stunning view.

from this remarkable spot and it is not uncommon to see terns, egrets, flamingoes and storks spread out all over the salt marshes as well as horses in the neighboring land.
The sunken garden: the covered arcade from the lower bedrooms allows for complete privacy and some cool shade where you may like to refresh and contemplate the view of the sunken garden and its baroque undertones.
Swimming Pool:
The relaxing area by the large infinity pool (17 X 5,50 m 1,50 m deep) comes complete with sun deck and sun loungers, two shaded terrace areas and a raised lounging terrace offers tantalizing sunset views set in complete harmony with the natural surroundings. Nearby the pool hidden but the trees is the outdoor shower with hot and cold water. The pool is open from May 1st to October 31st.
On the southeastern coast, halfway between Noto and Marzamemi, you will find long golden beaches and the breathtaking landscapes of Vendicari’s Nature Reserve. This is where an entire ecosystem lives undisturbed and is sporadically revealed between the dense vegetation, the clear sea ,the rocky cliffs and the deep blue sea.
Noto, is a delightful baroque town and one of the most beautiful sites protected by UNESCO. Big on the art scene with exhibitions and curious shops you will be spoilt for choice for restaurants and bars.
The other two nearest towns, less touristic than Noto, are Pachino and Avola.
Marzamemi is the fishing village of Pachino nearing the tip of Sicily. This ancient fishing village has plenty of restaurants to choose from and is well renowned for its fresh fish and clear waters.
In the vicinity, you will find beautiful landscape and baroque towns like Ragusa, Scicli and Modica.
Last but not least, Siracusa is probably the greatest Greek city and the most beautiful of them all. It is the jewel of this area where you can step in the Greeks’ footsteps in ancient Neapolis and stroll down the alleys of the picturesque town center of Ortigia.
